Governance

Te Whare Toi o Ngāruawāhia is governed by a dedicated volunteer Board committed to upholding strong stewardship, transparency, and community-led decision making. Our Board provides strategic direction, ensures financial sustainability, and guides the organisation in fulfilling its purpose: to nurture creativity, wellbeing, and cultural expression for the people of Ngāruawāhia and the wider Waikato region. The Board oversees organisational policies, risk management, long-term planning, and accountability to funders, partners, artists, and the community. We are committed to governance practices that reflect kaupapa Māori values, uphold manaakitanga, and support equitable access to the arts. Working alongside our staff and community, the Board ensures Te Whare Toi remains a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient creative home for all.
